Next Page Rank Update: December 06 2013

Despite a very clear question asked to Google SEO's most respected evangelist Matt Cutts, there was no update that's was planned this year anymore. [his video down below] The last update was in February of 2013. So who to believe if the most trusted source in the search engine optimisation world, is not able to point you towards the right direction though it be unwillingly.

DO NOT GET ME WRONG! MATT CUTTS MAY NOT BE AWARE OF EVERYTHING.

Page rank is not dead apparently. But Mr. Cutts remains surprised:

He may not be aware of the next google page rank update neither. One thing is sure: A page rank still stays but a bragging right sending people on a very weird craze down a rabbit whole. Its like getting a medal for participating and playing by the rules.

A high page rank, does not necessarily reflect that you are a winner, just that you are participating in the SEO game long enough to get noticed. Sure, the same things that affected your pagerank update remains the same: which strong website links to yours, what kind of page rank they have, are they sending you traffic and conversions instead of a high bounce rate, how many of those have you been able to collect in a very transparent, natural and organic way.

But seriously.... a page rank has no direct correlation on your search engine result, so many will not see any boost in traffic or even a loss in traffic because of their personal page rank update.

It seriously become a crazy bragging right that means......not much.
My adsense income has not changed, my traffic either, yet my page rank has increased today (December 6th 2013).

So Mr. Cutts.... When is the next p....ah nevermind ;). Let me focus on good unique content, better and greater content, creating more fresh content more often, and growing my social media communities to drive authentic organic traffic to that content.

What is Your New Seo Strategy After Hummingbird Update?

Hey guys, fellow internet marketers and content creators. After Google came out with a few updates like the Panda and Penguin, a lot of you guys changed their online strategies. For those of you who didn't need to, it means that you already knew what you were doing was right and completely white hat. (btw did any of you get an adsense decrease in their income ? I'd love to hear about it in the comments please)

For some of you, just getting in the game of trying to monetize your content, or be a full time blogger for a company or yourself, you must be wondering if there is any new seo strategy you should be doing after the hummingbird update, and you are not alone. Here is my tip for you. Hummingbird being the biggest update google has done to the core of its algorithm, and still having penguin and panda in effect, it focuses on a more lively, free flowing, conversational type of search engine. So the results, would be more like as if it was the answer, to an assumed question.

So lets say you search for how to clean red wine on a carpet, google will now assume that this mishap has happened to you, so it will (from my understanding) suggest websites that offer local services for carpet cleaning, and in some cases it will jump into the website which has the best answer and solution.

So in your content creation and doing some market research, keep in mind that aiming to strongly including the exact match of: How To Clean Red Wine From a Carpet, may render your efforts futile. Instead focus on the solution and the answer plus propose a local service (hopefully a few, if the business you write for is not one of them).

One thing that still stays the same is, content is king, and fresh content is its master. (yes you can quote me Adrian on that). So if you have no strategy in place to constantly get into the head of your reader, your potential client, and thing like the person researching the kind of content you want them to find: start now!

Start a blog. You may also say: Ok Adrian, I sell metal brackets, how the heck am I suppose to blog about that? Well how about describe the multiple uses people have used your brackets for. How about giving some statistics (awesome to establish yourself as an expert in your field when doing business to business acquisition). The type of stats could be about global sales, percentages of metals used before vs now, how many local business use to operate in your area during a period of years.

Hummingbird is precise and small and fast and fancy... Why not make your content reflect that during your next revision of a proper SEO strategy online. Don't forget to keep using a good keyword tool for help, and keep in mind that you are writing to a person who has a question or a problem, and you must have the answer or solution.

Where is the Exact Match option in the new keyword planner?

Well many folks out there are still a little bit lost when it comes to using this new tool. The best advice I can give you is to keep practicing. Here I have provided a screenshot from within the keyword planner to help you find that beloved option ouf ours.

  1. As you can see in this image, all you need to do is to first click on the crayon or pencil where the small red arrow points.
  2. Then check mark the "Exact Match" option where the second and bigger arrow shows, right above the phrase match.
Review: Its as simple as that. Personally, (I know its weird..) I almost dont see a big difference in the "Broad Match" vs the "Exact Match" like we use to have in the legacy google keyword tool previously.

I remember doing some research and an exact match giving me 390 monthly searches, could render sometimes even 12000 broad monthly searches. Nowadays with the planner, it seems like the numbers are way way to close to each other. I have no idea if it is just me, or is it a bug, or it is calculated differently.

OK soon, not yet, I will start posting the software and methods I currently attempt to use for strategic planning. Most free keyword tools that have a trial available or are completely available will be listed here.

Now in the 101 of sharing ideas and content, experts say not to announce something before its done, specially, when it comes to promising a post. Well, from my personal experience as a keyword planner for websites and clients, listening 100% to "seo experts" gets you either in trouble with google, (use wordpress, hide your affiliate links, don't use blogger, download this e-book for 169$ to be on your way to starting your own personal passive income business online) and doesn't live up to expectations.

Where to Get Free Keyword Tools, Alternatives, Books, Strategies, seo optimization free etc.


Recently I have been putting together a resource page for everyone to know where to get free keyword tools, strategies, book, and stuff they can buy also to make them/you better at what you do. Most of them I have used in the past or am using now, that makes my passive income efforts, my article marketing or SEO consultation much faster and easier. Surely, you will want to save that page and bookmark it, as it will be my best gathering of "tools of the trade". Though it be semrush or other software out there.

So being unique and original, and not afraid to try new ways and experiment, with an honest and good intention is a learning process that money cannot buy.

Most will say that you need to invest in software, or a revolutionary secret method written in an e-book to start making money. As for myself, I stuck to following what Matt Cutts says, and what he doesn't say, plus knowing how to read between the lines, and applying it on my free blogger blogspot website...err blog, and making some decent income. Affordable Search Engine Optimization: Alternative Keyword Tool

Now If you have been following a little bit, about what I am about and what I do, you will notice that I am always trying to put together a google approved free keyword tool list here, way, and technique to help my clients achieve better page ranking results.

All I do, as a strategist or project manager, consists of researching topics, phrases and subjects that website owners should aim for with their articles and online content in descriptions, to get the best type of ROI (return on investment, of their money and also time). Just like all search engines, I also make sure that the content is unique, since content is king, but also as relevant as possible.

My clients, most of the time, aim for keywords they should not, because their targeted audience does not look for those words or those subjects. It is my job to redirect them on a path that is the perfect combination of the informational demand and supply online. So far, I have always been using the external Google Keyword Tool. Now since the keyword planner is coming out soon, it dramatically changes my work process.

It is not easy to find suggested keywords per relevance, per competition, per local searches, broad, phrase or exact match. Also many have complained also about the fact that it is hard to find long tail suggestions. (Long tail keywords being example: Affordable Search Engine Optimization Pricing vs Search engine optimization.)

Now, I may be wrong but, I am now looking to change my way of doing research for blogs and websites with a free alternative keyword tool. Am I the only one?

Here are a few of the free alternatives I am currently looking at, and would love your opinion about which do the job, since I'm trying to keep my SEO services affordable, which give accurate data.

So, am I the only one looking for an affordable alternative? Anyways, just my few thoughts and rants.

The keyword research remains the key point for the success of a niche site. Find the perfect keyword is not easy thing knowing that you will not be able to determine its quality as long as it is not tested.

Nevertheless using all my tips and tricks to the letter, you will be able to avoid a period of loss of time and errors, which made me mess up much money. Many factors come into account with respect to the success of a website, and I'll provide you with the tools and parameters necessary to maximize your chances. In this article, we will see three crucial points of searching for keywords. I will then provide an example of a keyword for to make you it clear the mechanism and parameters for the conquest of winning keywords.

Now what you have to take into consideration is, I change the words and numbers so that you do not make the same researches as I do. So most of what you will read is what I found, for different words, but gave an example for, say, educational purposes.

The use of essential software to obtain a good keyword will be an entire article.

The three parameters of the perfect keyword

(1) A significant number of research

We can expect, a buzz led to a significant search for certain terms on the engines. A change of Pope will result in a staggering number of motion around his Holiness, and sites being referenced on its keywords will see their attendance explode.

The debate is raging about the statistics that I am going to provide you. Be aware that the give you to make you an idea, I can not myself confirm these figures in an empirical way:

A site in the first position in Google results can expect to get about 30% of the traffic. 10% of Internet users looking for this same keyword are likely to go on the second site. Attendance falls then skyrocketed for the following places. These poor figures due to a high number of Internet users clicking on the ads at the top and right and not on the site in the first position.

Concerning your future niches sites, exact searches per month minimum I recommend for the construction of a niche is 1000 requests. It will allow you to get an average of 300 visits per month on the targeted keyword. Get more visits with these words and expressions in the articles that you post on your niche sites. We'll talk about when the time comes.

Some of my sites are built around phrases and keywords still most wanted. In theory, more you get targeted traffic and more you will earn money, but still need to be able to reference or position your sites in an optimal way.

(2) An opportunity of SEO

Be able to determine if there is an opportunity to put this site in the top results of Google can be complicated. This subject is worthy of an entire article. Luckily for you, I've listed the 8 essential check points. Although short and synthesized, all the information are present. You will retain these points by practicing yourself exercise with the keyword tools and other tools that I will present to you on soon. Don't worry, it's simpler than it seems.

Links : Backlinks

Despite constant changes in the algorithm of the Google search engine, the links remain a decisive element in the ability of a site to be referenced, and so to place themselves in the top results on a given keyword or phrase.

A substantial number of links pointing to the domain of your competitors will make you understand that it will be difficult to place your site higher then theirs. In General, you the more links pointing to your domain name, better your rankings will be. If you intend to place your site in the first position, I recommend that you do not start if your competitor has more than 15 links. If the figure of 0 link turns out to be linked to their fields, it is a good start, but there are other points to check!

Tracks

Titles are extremely important in the field of SEO. You need to write or make writing scripts, containing the targeted keyword in the title of the article. Imagine you build a site around the term "plant strawberries. The title of your main article may be: "5 techniques for planting strawberries. A good thing will consist in the fact that your competitors do not have the keyword in the title of their article or page.

Site specialized on the subject

If you strive to set up a site on the term "plant strawberries", you must ensure that your direct competitors are not specialists in the planting of strawberries! Indeed, it is difficult to pass a specialized site, especially if it is large. When the first results of the search engine linked to merchant sites with no article on the subject, it is often a good thing because you can more easily put your site.

Free domain name

Owning a domain name including the exact term you are targeting was a good thing six months ago. A change in Google's algorithm has made it less effective. Domain name: http://www.planterdesfraises.com is no longer mandatory, but a competitor having a domain name comprising the term you are targeting is going to be difficult to beat, because also works it the same expression. Opportunities on the net never fail, do not embark on a battle of SEO, you will lose time and money.

Age of the domains / Pagerank

The age of a domain, that is to say, the number of years of life since its inception date is a significant point. Without software, just type the term into Google and look if there are ads at the top and on the sides. A large number of advertisements guarantees a battle between advertisers and therefore a higher CPC!

An example of interesting keyword

I strive to make my clearest possible articles. Personally, I understand better the theory when it is accompanied by an example. So here is a possibility of creating niche with the keyword: mouthwash

I would not advise you to create a top site, because if other readers have the same idea, you will fight for nothing. I did not assure success and gain money on this term, it's just for the example.

Keyword research tool provided me with the following data:

Mouthwash

-exact searches per month: 2400

-CPC: €2.60

-AWC: 88 %

-Competition: less than 15 links for the first three results, however many sites have title of article comprising the term targeted. Some of the first sites are older and with a high Pagerank, but little or not related to the target.

-Domain names containing the target words are available.

This keyword is not perfect, but tentable, because 2400 exact searches per month remain a good figure and especially offered CPC is be very interesting.

For the sake of diversification, you need to build both sites with 1000 exact searches per month than 8000. Indeed, even if you can fall on easy-to-reference keywords, the more research is important, hardest will be referencing. Bet only on greater than 5000 requests keywords returned to run at your loss.

I provided in this article the theory allowing you to understand the search for a suitable for the creation of niche keyword. Envy must not miss you look for your first opportunities. Google has created a new tool for AdWords advertisers to assist them in preparing their campaigns. This keyword (Keyword Planner) planning tool will replace the 2 tools Keyword (keywords generator) Tool and Traffic Estimator (estimation of the traffic). Bad news: Keyword Planner will be reserved for AdWords customers...
Impact on the work of the search engine optimization (SEO)

If until now you often use keywords in AdWords generator to work your SEO (to get keywords ideas), you are directly affected by this announcement. Indeed, this keyword research tool will disappear by late July 2013! Certainly, the functionality will be always available in AdWords Keyword Planner, but this new tool is reserved for AdWords customers. In other words, it will not be available as "external" as it was the generator of keywords. For the moment, I do not know if Google has planned to restrict access to those who have an AdWords account or to those who have AdWords campaigns valid...

First you do searches by keywords (as before with the keywords generation tool)
in the proposed results, you will also have suggestions for ad groups (to arrange)
then you add the selected keywords and ad groups to a plan. Add to a plan, it's like add products to a shopping cart. Then, you can add them to a current AdWords campaign or create a new campaign for the occasion.
Finally, the tool is simulations to assess traffic - and the total cost.

To get keyword ideas, try the new Keyword Planner


So it is now official. Since a few days some of us have seen the message when trying to do our research:"Keyword Tool will no longer be available in the next few months. To get keyword ideas, try the new Keyword Planner, which makes keyword research even easier."

What does this mean for most of us? Well I love to follow Matt Cutts advice and blog, and I try to develop my instincts and intuition as a internet marketer, by reading between the lines. Most will agree that any unnatural, or active link building or SEO (search engine optimisation), to manipulate or influence google's (or other search engines) results page (SERP) is cheating, or "blackhat".

But if you are like me, and read between the lines:"To get keyword ideas..." is encouraged by google itself.

So maybe unlike others, I love to gather as much information and messages that the expert bloggers send out. We all know we cannot and will not ever know the formulas, codes and algorithms to be on page 1, and thats GREAT! Because I still remember being a kid and looking for hot wheels or disney movies with my friends and instead learning about the human body... things that made not only the computer super slow, but banning kids from the public library. Just like us, internet marketing consultants who take our jobs seriously, search engines try to keep the world wide web a relevant place to find things.

But as keyword tools are provided by those same companies, one can only think how much relevant research is too much, but can no longer think that that knowledge is prohibited or taboo.

Well that's my 2 cents (funny how this 2 cents expression is so 2012...since pennies in canada are slowly going to be removed from circulation). Will you use this keyword tool, or do you have other suggestions ? Let me know please.

HOW does a Keyword Suggestion Tool Work?

A Keyword Tool one of the most standard online software for most website developers when doing research. When you are an author of a site, these are things you need to know. It is quickly becoming the internet world standard for most webmaster research to unable programmers or bloggers. These is knowledge you need to have to be able to test search words that could be in use for their future articles or unique content and also to find new keyword suggestions for trending or long tail research.



There are many sources and definitions you can find about the general meaning here at wikipedia.

The density inside the unique content you will write is very important. Make sure that when you read your text out loud it sounds natural. It has to be a natural dialogue so that search engines that have strong algorithms just like google, will be able to pick up on the natural flow of the way you write. You would not repeat the same word twice in a row normally, nor in the same or consecutive sentence. So a good rule of thumb is that. But you can also, in longer texts then say, my opinion: of 300 words, keep it under 0.5%, of about 500 words, keep it just under 1%, in a 1000 words you can keep it below 1,5% to 2%. This is a bit aggressive so also make sure that you break that rule more often then not, by being below that percentage.


There is no perfect amount of density you should use that is going to be a secret formula or algorithm. Long are gone the days where you could repeat a word 48 times in a 322 word paragraph and copy paste that page 578 times with a few tweaks here and there all linking to your main page to manipulate the results. If there is anything you can learn from Matt Cutts, is that the people want more authentic results, so do the search engines. But recently, some of us are looking for an alternative keyword tool due to these changes. Stay tuned.

The thing that I really can not stress enough is, the more your content is mathematically calculated, the less natural it will be, so if there is any suggestion I can make to anyone trying to figure these things out is not to worry about it, it takes time to gain someones trust, and a second to lose it, just like with the search engines.

So your results will greatly depend on the knowledge you express in your unique content, the information you choose to share on sites that will gladly link to your main website, and the attention and importance your topic awakes at a given time called a trend.

Keep these things in mind when doing your own research, or when using a search tool or generator to do your analysis and research.
